Barkley’s Hope, run by Vince and Trish Cope, has vaccinated over 1,000 dogs and cats in Grand Junction since 2019. Every Tuesday, at the MAP Distro, they offers vaccinations for parvo, distemper, and bordetella from 10 a.m. to noon. They can also provide vouchers for discounted rabies shots.
Cost can often be prohibitive for folks who want to take good care of their animals, but Vince and Trish help make basic vaccinations for pets affordable. All vaccinations are free of charge, with a recommended donation of $5 to help keep the program running. MAP is proud to partner with Barkley's Hope and to sponsor the amazing work they do.
Barkley's Hope has a website that provides "additional resources, including information on where folks can access spay and neuter services, financial assistance for extensive pet care needs, and information on PARVO treatment, reactive dog training, and Mesa County’s Spay & Neuter Voucher Program".
Barkley’s Hope relies on donations to provide vaccinations, supplies, and services like access to spay and neuter programs. Please visit their website, https://barkleyshope.org to make a donation.
