Mutual Aid Weekly Distro
Early on, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mutual Aid Partners begun supporting the relief efforts of the grassroots group Grand Junction Mutual Aid by providing accessibility to resources and coordinating volunteers. Then, in 2021, as the needs of the community expanded, MAP assumed responsibility for the weekly food distribution and resource event.
Our strategic relationships with community organizations and social service agencies, has made it possible to distribute large quantities of food and resources where they were needed most.
Extremely grateful to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Grand Valley, Solidarity Not Charity, Unity Station Kutz, Barkley’s Hope, The Street Dog Coalition, Vote Positive Colorado, Hilltop Family Resource Center & Cooking Matters for partnering with us on this project!
Also, special thanks to our agency partners Food Bank of the Rockies, Community Food Bank, Community Alliance for Education & Hunger Relief, Homeward Bound, Hilltop and last but not least, our extraordinary volunteers!
